A Sacred Gift

Your light cast upon dark places
Illuminates the umbral depths
Highlighting our divine forms
Casting out the whispering demons
A beacon to this soul once lost

Your smile in a world of frowns
Charms and soothes the beast
Captivating with every glance
Beguiling this wayward warrior
A mouth whose voice is constant prayer

Your joy amidst seas of sorrow
Parts the clouds before the journey
Transforming gray skies into blue
Granting safe passage to the forlorn
A prismatic rainbow spread across time

Your warmth in the bitter cold
Comforts the wandering damned
Giving solace in every embrace
Radiating from every part of you
A fire longing to be held

Your love that completes my world
Transcends these mortal bodies
Binding the earth and the heavens
Lifting us up to heights unimaginable
A sacred gift so utterly divine

Tender and expressive. A great TRUTH. It is indeed LOVE and only LOVE that holds the world. Without it the world becomes a clanging, jarring uselessness.
