Hot Shower Bliss

Eyes open groggily
the fog slowly clears
awareness sets in
as muscles contract
I sit up with a breath

Feet hit cold floor
and my Flesh trembles
as cold air caresses
the hairs on my arms
I exit the bedroom

Faucet is turned on
steam fills the room
Anticipation builds
while clothes drop
I step into the shower

Hot water beats down
A thousand massages
pitter patter a second
soothing taught muscle
I breathe in the steam

Perspiration builds
quickly washed away
Heat flushing worries
Off body into drain
I relax into the moment

Time fades as heat builds
and euphoria settles in
Blanketed in warmth
a wide smile grows
I have been cleansed

    Firstly,
thanks for the like and follow, much appreciated.
    Secondly,
this is a very nice representation of the cleansing effects of taking said shower. I always feel better after having had one myself, I always feel ‘lighter’.

    Thanks for sharing.
