Moon’s Champion

The laurel tree hath wilted
I am now denied her shade
Just like the lover jilted
chained to the bed she made

The yellow rose hath died
Petaled lips now forbidden
Cannot deny that I had tried
But the stony thorns were hidden

The warrior princess hath fallen
Her shield bent and broken
She missed her Champion calling
With fear and doubt outspoken

This Sorcerous Warrior stands Upright
Champion and servant to the Moon
Reflection of Her silver light
Recipient of her sacred boon

  1. Man. I’m feeling these so much. The similarities, the parallels between what I’ve read of you the past few days and my own situations, even the yellow rose. Thank you, yet again, for sharing your thoughts and words in beautiful poetry.

Another reflection on loss reblogged amidst love found anew. The juxtaposition is beautiful.
