Madness in the Mortal Man

Delusion doth drape in dim despair
Deadly the deed that dooms the heir
Frenzied and frantic, forceably so,
Phobic and fearful the frightful foe
Hated, hurried, and haunted
Unwanted, unloved, yet undaunted
Voracious victor of violence
Penetrates the purported pennance
Madness makes the moulded man
Rooted, routed, rioted I ran
Silenced soul stabbed by the sword
Wildly wounded by the wicked word

At last the soul acquiesces to night
Death of the man makes the world right.

I didn’t have anything to write today so I am reblogging another one written last year. This one was inspired by certain events that were running parallel to my dad’s death.
