Heard, Held, Helped

Another request.

She sits and is consumed by her tears
Alone, broken, and dejected
Emotions built up throughout the years
Afraid she will be rejected
Facing disappointment and fears
This is the life she selected
She just wants someone who hears
But now she’s just neglected

She sits and wonders how it felt
Completion, love, and evolution
Compassion causes her heart to melt
Defying the soul’s revolution
Seeks to sooth the emotional welt
Swollen with heart’s retribution
She feels at ease when she is held
But now ponders final solution

She knows she’s neither heard nor held
Bitter, angry, and unwanted
Made to feel like the family whelp
And the past by which she’s haunted
Depressive barbs gave cause to yelp
By his presence she’s forever taunted
Not heard nor held how can she be helped
To march forward undaunted

You were right. This is such an awesome piece of poetry…I can feel the emotion and pain and hurt in every line. It flows SO beautifully too…Bravo you really deserve it for this one. It hits home to the heart. Bravo maestro!
